Canada’s Hip-Hop movement has been burgeoning for years, since the days of Maestro Fresh Wes. Drake isn’t the only thing coming from the Great White north. Artists like JD Era, Rich Kidd and Lou Breeze have been leading their new school since the early millennium. That’s not to mention others like Saukrates and Kardinal Offishall who have been putting in work since the late 90’s.

It seems with all the hard work, heads are still not listening. DJ Shortee Blitz is dropping mixtape that will put that talent front and center. The work features all of the above-mentioned artists and more and serves as a great jump on point for you to get familiar with that’s good in Canadian Hip-Hop. Take a listen and see if they can hold their own. The Canadian Blast mixtape. Enjoy.
