Homeboy Sandman Returns With Far Out

Far Out finds Homeboy Sandman returning to his buttery smooth yet quirky delivery. Last year’s release Humble Pi with Edan was a departure from his norm with a gruff, rear-throated delivery. Lead single Grim Seasons was a look inward at the ways of man and the cold world.

This time around Sand turns outward in a return to expansion and higher concepts. Back in his familiar wheelhouse, fronted by a funky, placid sonic backdrop Homeboy Sandman is in fighting shape and ready to return to the ring.

Far Out is the title of the track and his concepts are always higher than pedestrian. Lines like,”I’m like Fe Fi Fo Fum with these small fries” and “Now they whole staff bout as touchy as Joe Pa’s” [Joe Paterno] are delivered in rapid succession with no regard for whether you are fast enough to catch them at the speed of life. Get your rewind buttons ready.

The track is a mellow, jazzy Girl From Ipanema vibe with soft bongos smooth signing chorus and tonal splashes that lay a slick rhythm for Sand to command. The visuals bolster the far out theme, reflecting and extra-dimensional cosmic energy.

Homeboy Sandman is ready to go. Far Out. Be on the look out for his upcoming album Dusty and the accompanying tour. Dates below the visuals
