Bassnectar recently revealed a third entry of the Reflective EP series and here is the first offering from the set, the rousing Heavyweight Sound featuring Jantsen and RD. The track is just that, with bottom-heavy thumps and high energy atmospherics to get any party cranked up.

Reflective (Part 3) drops August 24th to be released on Bassnectar’s own Amorphous Music imprint and will feature four brand new tracks including new collabos with Vindata, Gnar Gnar, the aforementioned Jantsen and Conrank, along with remixes of Rusko’s “High”, a remix of “Enchanted” from the Naux Faux EP (a new side project with Sayr), and “FSOSF” from Bassnectar’s 2007 album Underground Communication.

Aside from the coming EP, Bassnectar has been busying himself with philanthropy. His new non-proft foundation is Be Interactive, whose mission is to fund fans’ good deeds to improve their communities and the world. The initial fundraiser with held on September 29th at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco featuring The Glitch Mob, Dead Prez, Ninth Child, Zion i, Ashel SeaSunz and Xiutezcatl Martinez.

Be Interactive’s grant application will be open to all fans each quarter. Selected proposals receive funding, mentorship, and additional support. More information on Be Interactive can be found here.
