Hip-Hop murders almost never get solved. JMJ was murdered at a studio full of people. Nothing. Tupac and Biggie? Same thing. Or maybe not. We’ve all read various articles and seen many books that create relatively plausible scenarios concerning the two incidents. Detective Russell Poole had “Ahmir.” Chuck Phillips, L.A. Times writer cosigned the theories and added some spice on top of his own. Both of those theories were blown out the water by former LAPD Detective Greg Kading and his book Murder Rap.
Now, the retired Detective is converting his book to a documentary. Kading has allied with filmmaker Mike Dorsey and the duo has begun fundraising for the project on Indie GoGo. For various levels of support, you receive accompanying perks up to and including Associate Producer credit on the movie. It’s not often that you get the opportunity to be a part of such an undertaking and who knows, you may actually help reveal the truth to two of the most frustrating and tragic events in the history of Hip-Hop.
