Showcasing some of Atlanta’s favorite restaurants, food trucks and breweries, CounterPoint Festival is taking its food offerings to a different level. Leading the culinary charge will be D.B.A. Barbecue, the first to come on board the festival, with both a full barbecue menu and its branded D.B.A. Puddin’ Pops cart. Additional restaurants and food trucks include: The Pickle, PieFor The People, Tijuana Joe’s, Mobile Marlay, Fry Guy, Healthy Nut Truck, Thai BBQ, Brusters, and Rita’s Italian Ice. Additional details on the CounterPoint Beer Garden and further food options will be revealed in the coming weeks.
On the visual arts side, street artist turned fine artist, Greg Mike will be painting and curating a visual arts installation throughout the festival grounds. Greg Mike, the owner of ABV, Atlanta’s contemporary art gallery and creative agency that focuses on street art and pop surrealism will be bringing ten exciting artists together to paint installations covering over 1600 square feet of wall space. In addition the installations, festival goers will be invited to stroll through the CounterPoint Arts Village to check out art, crafts and a variety of merchandise from Atlanta’s creative community and beyond.
Finally, CounterPoint Festival is pleased to announce the lineup for its Silent Disco presented by Music Unlimited. The late night experience will feature enhanced headphones to showcase an array of local performers, including Atlanta-based Merzy Me; DJ Airwolf; V3rsatile; DJ Pat O’Brien of 99X’s Voltage Radio; Sugar Kayne; Ira G; Ten.Sense; MK Ultra; Patrick Morgan; Ployd; and Syl O; Rrrump; RL Shine; and Luis Valencia. Additional performers from outside the Atlanta area include: Skrause; DJ Mel; Spankalicious; Futexture; Thump; Up Until Now DJ set; and Immuzikation. CounterPoint has also added Rhythm Monks, The Mad Violinist & the Crack Orchestra, and Stokeswood to the inaugural lineup.
The multi-stage festival with camping options will be held at the location of 2007’s The Echo Project, a 350-acre, scenic Chattahoochee river front property located approximately 30 minutes travel time from Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. CounterPoint plans on bringing the city to the pristine festival site. Elements such as preferred viewing areas, multiple VIP levels, and luxury camping options will be available. Daily express shuttle service to and from Atlanta, as well as day parking will also be offered for those guests not wishing to camp onsite.
Three-day passes are on sale now for $165 online at www.counterpointfestival.com or by calling 1-888-512-SHOW (7469). The allotment of 3-day passes at the Advanced ticket price is limited, with prices increasing on September 15th. For those that cannot attend all three days, single day tickets are now available at $59 for Thursday, headlined by Big Gigantic and Beats Antique, $89 for Friday passes headlined by Bassnectar, Avicii, and M83 and $89 for Saturday passes headlined by Skrillex, Pretty Lights, and Steve Angelo.. Depending on availability tickets can be purchased at the gate for $185. All-inclusive VIP Experience and Platinum Experience packages are available, starting at $365 and $565, respectively. Single Day VIP passes are available for both Friday and Saturday at $169 a piece. Prices are inclusive of all fees.
