Freeway: L.O.V.E.

By shelz.

Freeway rises like yeast, stomps all over some stuttering electric guitars and professes his love for those who love him in “L.O.V.E.”  And even with the warm and fuzzy swag he’s spitting, I’m finding it an ill fit and I don’t mean that in a good way.

They love him in Pakistan according to Free, but I’ll bet they aren’t feeling this track.  I’m aware rap is becoming all inclusive and I’m down for eclectisicm probably more so than most, but it still has to be good and this well..isnt.  This track sounds like a pop wash of a throw away from Rebirth.  It also sounds like a far reaching attempt to garner some of that crossover love being handed to the top of the rap totem pole right now.

Freezer is a talented rapper still scrapping for positioning in the industry so it’s expected that plenty of different looks will be thrown at the audience to see what sticks.  Unfortunately, this isn’t it. We still L.O.V.E. him though.  True story.
