John Wall Selects ZigSlash Sneaker To Wear For Rookie Game

By Odeisel

With the NBA All-Star weekend approaching, fans are beginning to converge on an LA still recovering from a Grammy hangover. There will be more parties, more bubbly, and ample opportunity for fans to soak in the NBA experience. Imagine if you were able to design sneakers that the players would wear on the court for the game. Reebok gave a few designers the chance of a lifetime this week as they announced the winner of the John Wall ZigSlash.

The designers submitted their work online through the Reebok site and were whittled down to a final ten, selected by the total number of “likes” by their followers. The ten were given a Reebok produced version of their design and the final winner, selected by Wall, won a trip to LA (with a plus one) for the game, with Wall wearing the winner’s pair during the T mobile Rookie sophomore game on Saturday night.

Below are the finalists designs, with the winner’s pair serving as the main picture above. Reebok has been running a series of interactive user designed promotions. Maybe next time, we’ll dust off the photoshop skills and get us a pair of Planet Illtechs.
