I thought long and hard about the myriad of inappropriate comments I could make in reference to the name of this song and Keri’s humorous delivery of said title. Then I thought longer and harder about being the bigger person and acting like this wasn’t some of the most wonderfully inadvertent comedy I’d come across in ages. At some point the light bulb came on and someone involved in the making of her album came to their senses and left this in the studio, so I decided to cut her a break. Wait. No. This is a bonus cut on No Boys Allowed. I’m the only one who caught this?
“Drippin’” immediately reminds you of after club back seat dates or the maladies that pop up the morning after them. It could as well be a massively delayed response record to Kool Moe Dee’s “Go See The Doctor.” But it isn’t. Instead it’s all about excess. It’s to conjure images of Lady K swathed in diamonds and buried up to the ankles in freshly popped tags. Once you get past the anti-biotic jokes, this is where you wind up.
As cute as this song is with its hard thump and sprightly synth line, there is no way you are going to get your posse of chicks to sing along.

She drips everywhere; in her head, in her bed. She’s dripping and you’re slipping in it. So get wet baby. Augh! Horrifying. Maybe this was supposed to be a sexually charged double entendre and well it is sort of, just not as the writer intended I’m sure. Or maybe this is the consequence of all that nasty stuff she was doing in her last video. Don’t get me wrong, the song is cute. The construction has a head nod factor to it. Keri sounds good, but you can’t get around the hidden meanings here. They hang way too heavy. Sorry.
