And The Beat Goes On: Sean Price Goes Higher, Millzy Goes Hammer and Raheem Devaughn Just Goes.

By shelz.

What’s going on folks?  It’s another week and time again for the best beat thefts the music industry has to offer. This week in particular offered quite a bit of track snatching.  Some folks even released full mixtapes of pilfered music.  So the sloppy seconds bench is deep this week, but before we get to all of that, we have to spend some time discussing all of this after Holiday nonsense that has been going around like a virus.  Yes people, industry folks are trippin’.

Karian Pasian (who?) Karina Pasian and Keri Hilson got into it on Twitter because Pasian thinks Hilson made that steamy video for “The Way You Love Me” because she is an attention whore.  Hilson responded by calling herself a flop.  Sort of. Umm.. Okay. Then she likened herself to the Titanic and told Karina they could flop together.  Hey, at least she’s realistic.

Unlike Montana Fishburne, who still believes she will find the magic corridor that exists between triple X porn and HBO prime time gigs… that aren’t porn.  Good luck girl. I will say her shots for Black Men Magazine were quite beautiful and before you scream “Photoshop!” please understand all those broads are airbrushed.  Don’t make it seem like Chippy D is the first naked girl you’ve seen with ass acne.

Last but not least it appears Miss Nicki Minaj has managed the best first week sales for a rap album from a female in the history of Soundscan.  She didn’t beat out the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, but Nicki was quick to mention that album isn’t Hip-Hop.  Funny, neither is hers, but congrats anyway.

On with the show folks, first up is Sean Price.

Mic Tyson takes Keni Burns’ track “Risin to the Top” and adds some gravel to the smooth jam with “Sabado Gigante.” The title in itself is amusing.  The nod to the raucously frenetic Univision show, the title of which translates to “Big Saturday,” sets the tone for P’s declaration that he does not give one rat’s ass about your weekly rap series.  What he does give a rat’s ass about is you understanding he will split your lip if you talk shit and then palm your mom’s ass.  Ain’t no half steppin here.  Word to BDK.

Next is Jae Millz with “Millzy Going Hammer.”  Bammer Bammer Bammmer!  Millz loves the hoes and when he says he has homemade porn with other dudes chicks on his Flip camera, I believe him.  He’s on his ignorant New York shit.  He’s all about your banging your chick and getting paid.  The word work with the Hammer song titles was meh, but the rest is entertaining.  Leggoooo.

We’re going to follow up with some more Jae Millz because he was running a two for one combo deal today and I like it when men make life easy for me.  Millz takes Travis Porter’s strip club anthem, “Make It Rain” that Atlanta radio plays every 7.6 minutes and turns it into something even worse than it was to begin with.  It’s called “Need Some Brains.” No need to elaborate right? It’s very umm… assertive.  Then I guess, insertive. Sigh.

Moving on we have Fashawn tossing some words over Usher’s “Papers.” Of course these are papers of the rolling sort instead of the divorce kind.  Then he drops a little “Nice and Slow” over top.  It’s a silly weed song for smokers.  Nothing ground breaking but entertaining, nonetheless.

Last on this list we have Raheem Devaughn who has dropped almost an entire mixtape of other people’s tracks.  So let’s double up again, shall we?  First is Deuces.  Not the remix, but the G-mix, which is a remix of the remix.  Sounds like Devaughn is a busy dude, fielding calls from married women while he’s with his chick and then he mentions some other side piece he had to kick to the curb.  I think we need a score card.

He also snatched “Love The Way You Lie” from Eminem and took a subtler approach to the track.  He’s not going to lock you in the house and set it on fire.  He’s just going to leave, which is suppose is the smarter thing to do, but on the way out he says this mess is all your nosey girlfriends fault.  Typical. At least he sounds good while he’s rolling out.
