Good morning and welcome to Sick Sunday, where we give you the week in review on the Planet and hit you with a few tracks to start your day off. We had a really interesting week with a wide array of content. Shelz delivered a truly Classic Clash pitting Lil’ Kim’s Hardcore against Foxy Brown’s Ill Na Na. From our results on twitter and comments it looks like Kim won out. You can still add you votes to the poll. Malice Intended came through for Al Capone’s B day with the Top 10 Gangsta Rap Albums of all time. Some truly dope records are on that list, you should definitely check it out.
We discussed whether Martin Luther King Jr. would have been able to work for his dream in today’s world of TMZ and paparazzi. The answer may surprise you. We had a two part interview with legendary emcee Buckshot that you should check out if you’re trying to get into the music industry. Malice returned to give a good look at people who drain you emotionally and how you can avoid it. Beware The Emotional Vampires! Fawn Renee returned after a layoff to review Bisco Smith’s new opus The Broadcast. While high on content, the delivery was a bit off, and Fawn drops a few jewels on how he can take it to the next level.
We took a look at President Obama’s first year in office and chronicled what we thought were his biggest failures and successes. We broke down the Gorillaz new joint “Stylo” and gave you a blast from the caveman past. A Negro With A Keyboard took a hilarious look at people who think that Jay-z is a harbinger of the New World Order. Rapper Big Pooh and Black Milk took Prince appreciation to a new level with The Purple Tape. The name is retread but the creativity is high.
Shelz’s weekly column And The Beat Goes On took a look at the freestyles of the week, Malice returned to review Sherlock Holmes, and DJ Fusion delivered the Fusebox Radio broadcast for the week. Fawn reviewed Luda’s mixtape/commercial for his new cognac, Fusion dropped an ill Indiesent Exposure, and Donny Goine’s new heater was given the Breakdown treatment.
To close the week out, we took a look at the first legal American gigolo and got the first look at Harley-Davidson’s new 2010 Sportster Forty Eight. Nice long week my friends. And now, on to the music.
