Sick Sunday 10/3/2010: Taped Up Toddlers, Shades of Tuskegee, 1st Amendment Fight And Music

By Odeisel

Good afternoon and welcome back to Sick Sundays where we give you the week in review here on Planet Ill and bless you with some new tunes for your Sunday afternoon. This week more fallout from the Eddie Long situation occurred, The BET Hip-Hop Awards were held in Atlanta, the US apologized for unsavory syphilis experiments in Guatemala and a-drug addled couple in Nebraska taped a baby to the wall while they entertained their friends. (Yes you read that right, you can’t make this stuff up.)

On the Planet, we had our hands full with the usual interviews, music analysis and all the good stuff we handle here. We touched on the First Amendment, looked at what incidents like the Eddie Long situation damages the relationship between Black adult males and Black children. We interviewed Erk Tha Jerk and newcomer Gist The Essence. Of course we have the usual album reviews and Planet Ill Breakdowns.  On with the show.
