Consequence has been in the trenches for many years, initially joining cousin Q-Tip for the latter end of A Tribe Called Quest’s brilliant run. Since then he has occupied the periphery of the game with occasional flashes into the mainstream via  an alliance with Kanye West (appearing on his first two albums). He eventually signed to ‘Ye’s Good Music label and released his first album Don’t Quit Your Day Job.

Aside from that, he has had a slew of mixtapes to keep his buzz going over the years and he’s getting ready to drop another in preparation of his second album Cons TV. Thanks to the good folks at Iced Media, Planet Ill was able to take in this mixtape entitled Movies On Demand in advance as well as its accompanying video featuring a cameo with Asher Roth.

Movies On Demand, from what we heard had some really good, all original production and some guest appearances you wouldn’t expect, such as Styles P and Rick Ross. If the album is as good as this mixtape then Consequence will have done his job and that’s all you can ask as a consumer. We got vid, so you got vid.  Enjoy a few cuts.
