Man when was the last banger from the trap? that speaker rattling type banger with that hood ignorance but still credible art-wise? DJ Khaled annoys the fuck out of me but I’ll be damned if duke don’t know how to assemble a balls to the wall posse cut. His latest joint is a track called I Feel Like Pac/ I Feel Like Biggie. The usual suspects are all over this (Rick Ross, T.I., Meek Mill). The snare drums are there, them 808s are under the underground railroad low and the big horns roar in the background alongside the grand atmospherics.
Rick Ross sounds fresh as Rich Forever spitting that raw shit, on trial with Paul Deen on the jury no less. Meek Mill is still using his outside voice but the track bangs so hard it all but drowns out that cream. T.I. hasn’t sounded this hungry in a minute, like Marlo retuning to the corner fresh off retirement. Throw in Diddy and Swizz Beatz for the peanut gallery ad libs and the mission is complete. There ain’t shit on this record that reminds you of Pac or Biggie, but it goes hard. I Feel Like Pac/I Feel Like Biggie. Bang it if you riding dirty. Bang it if you got a degree.
