Gangrene (Producers Alchemist and Oh No!) have had a pretty good run over the last couple years with two solid projects Vodka & Ayahuasca and Gutter Water. Now the dynamic duo has stepped up to the mean streets of Los Santos and one of the biggest video game releases of all time, Grand Theft Auto V. After a five year layoff, Rock Star Games is back with hits heaviest hitter and Gangrene, along with Tangerine Dream and Willie Jackson have been asked to score the game. Along with that, we have an original Gangrene cut from the soundtrack, Bassheads, featuring booming vocal samples from Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Flavor Flav .
Digital crunchy drums and bottom heavy boom ride next to distortion and low end synth to craft a speaker rattling sound that is sure to bounce and piss of your neighbors. Gangrene really serve as background music to this thunderous production and are secondary but credible on the track. Turn this up loud but only if you don’t have a crappy ass system. This ain’t for that factory stereo. Thing Masta Ace’s classic Born To ROll but with a higher energy level. Yeah. Music to Drive-by to.
