Los Angeles rapper Malkovich has a colorful bio, if to be believed. A family history of Nazi camp escape, Katrina survival, and close calls with London’s infamous Tube bombing and Jamaica’s Hurricane Gustav read like a bio from those “Most Interesting Man” commercials. While he hasn’t blown up yet, He’s got a crew with him to help listeners stay thirsty on his latest offering Through The Trees, from his FreeP Great Expectations.
The track has that Souls of Mischief 90’s vibe to it with each emcee passing the mic after their verse seamlessly to a quickly-paced beat. Their disparate styles, from Ali Abnormal’s quirky MC Serch, Iron Solomon nerdy hard rhyming aesthetic to the butter smooth delivery of BLVEME provide a wide variety of tempo and sound that keeps the track interesting. You can check out the entire project below. For now, peep the visuals for Through The Trees, produced by Computer Jay. Enjoy.
