Subterranean lows provide the entrance for Totem’s In and Out, a track that rides eerily close to Michael Jackson’s Stranger in Moscow in tone and rhythm. The vocal lead has a soft graininess that feels like The Weeknd if The Weeknd had depth and nuance to his delivery. In and Out exudes a desperate hope that while the love story it chronicles is ugly, it will endure as two paramours fall in and out of each other’s company and graces. It’s a dope track and definitely worth checking out.
