One of these kids is doing his own thing. That line fits Stalley to a tee as the odd man out of the Maybach Music Group. To his credit, he hasn’t moved his music to the tuff talk Molly popping domain and to Rozay’s credit it doesn’t seem that they are asking him too. Stalley makes that chill out, feel good music and his latest track, White Minks & Gator Sleeves is more of the same.
The 90’s R&B groove coupled with the omnipresent West Coast synthesizer whine and cowbell underpinnings make for an interesting track and all blend into the perfect background music for Stalley to do his thing.
Stalley drops a nice little note to Menace II Society on its 20th Anniversary and Producer Cardo injects more 90’s flavor with an interpolation of Sweet Sable’s Old Time’s Sake (From the Above the Rim soundtrack). This is smooth rider music without the “I got your bitch___” crap that’s so prevalent in young dude music these days. I dig it. You probably will as well. Helluva title. White Minks & Gator Sleeves. Enjoy.
