As the smartphone wave continues, the peripherals that make them more functional increase exponentially. As the cellphone becomes the center of our media lives we often have to consider how we consume our beats and videos. You have 4G connectivity in most of the heavy hitters and you’re downloading dozens of albums to your phone and maybe you don’t want to be tethered to your headphones. For those of us dinosaurs that still rock laptops, watching movies on them, no matter how big your screen is can be a downer when your speakers aren’t up to par.
Enter the Acase Yantouch Black Diamond III Bluetooth speaker. This number easily hooks up to any audio device via Y cable or Bluetooth. That puts an end to the frustration of so many iFocused items out there that are specifically designed solely for Apple related stuff. It comes with a battery powered remote control that features an assortment of options.
The Black Diamond III glows in the dark and changes color across the entire spectrum of the rainbow which is great for soothing young children or just zoning out. There is an option that has the light flicker to the beat which is the perfect accoutrement to “extra-curricular” activities or even something as simple as keeping a small child occupied without putting on the television.
If you connect the Black Diamond III via Bluetooth, the remote control has an assortment of functionality including pause/fast forwards/rewind capability, control over the brightness level of the light as well as the speaker volume and the ability to stop and change colors throughout the entire spectrum.
There is an AC adaptor that features USB functionality so you can plug into a lap top without a power outlet. The Black Diamond III has two side facing left and right drivers, allowing for a wider range of sound separation. It isn’t loud enough to get complaints from your neighbors but enough to get heard. It’s also a cool looking accent o any visual you have planned.
Below is a short clip of the speaker in action. It was hooked up to a laptop playing Eric B & Rakim’s I Ain’t No Joke. You can find the Black Diamond III at Amazon for around $100. Peace
