With respect due to Biggie Slick and Ice Cube and in deference to Nas, the Ghostface Killa may be the best story teller in Hip-Hop. his blend of charm, malevolence and emotional intelligence and vulnerability allows for rich tapestries that give you the total picture of any situation. With Younge riding shotgun like the New Age RZA, Ghost once again has a pure Wu soundtrack with which to get busy and with a little help from the legendary Delfonics’ own William Hart they create the eerie and emotive Enemies All Around Me.
The production plays closer to a score than an actual beat and places Ghostface firmly in a lane that is hard to compete with. While an Action Bronson may sound close aurally, the rich depth and craft with which Ghostface narrates is a gift that can’t be duplicated. The track is short at 2 minutes so I won’t bore you with drawn out details, but this is film noir on wax. Enemies All Around Me. Enjoy
