Planet Ill considers itself a friend to both the underground and the underdog. There are many sites that pick the low hanging fruit and pick what’s popping. That doesn’t really put into motion any skill or work at being a real tastemaker (God I hate that term but until we get a better one c’est la vie). We try to keep our eyes open for what’s next,

We bumped into the kid Yung Texxus at Atlanta’s A3c last year. We get music from his label all the time, some we play, some we pass but we didn’t KNOW him. With camera in hand and the sun to my back, we proceeded to get familiar. Here’s your chance to do the same. I think he’s a good dude and he has some heart.
