I can’t say I’ve seen much year end conversation on what I felt was one the the better albums of 2012.  Soul Is Heavy, Nnneka’s 3rd studio album, was lush and thoughtful and displayed a compelling dichotomy of belief that marked her as one of the most layered artists around.  I loved it and I love the upcoming video.

She is a teeny spitfire driven by something pretty compelling.  Its like MIA without the pretension.  Awesome.  Anyway, this snippet was pulled from a documentary that was made during the making of Soul Is Heavy.  I don’t have any info on the project, but hopefully it will find its way to Hulu sometime soon.  Enjoy.
