Style is often subject to the whims of what’s hot and trendy. However the real classics like the little black dress, silver cufflinks and black cement Jordan 3’s (ha haaa) rely on getting the most out of minimalism and avoiding the flash. That must have been what was in mind when Bracketron created its MetalDock charging station for the iPhone4/4S.
The cradle can hold your iPhone in either portrait or landscape configuration and, as pictured, is very slick when you’re in alarm clock mode. It’s light and easy to travel and is a cool departure from the basic wall chargers we’ve grown accustomed to.
The design is a very simply rounded metal bracket that isn’t shiny enough to be gaudy and smooth enough to look at place both at home or in the office. Style and functionality. No bells and whistles, and it doesn’t sit up and do tricks, but sometimes simple is best.
