Jack White is like Samara; he never sleeps. The music is on a sonic conveyor belt that runs 24 hours a day, churning out everything from Hip-Hop to Spaghetti Western homage. This time though, he has returned to Country.
“Machine Gun Silhouette” is very retro in its construction, but keeps enough modern vibe to make the song sound like it was recorded this century. I can totally imagine people with spiked mohawks line dancing to this. White’s ability to transition from style to style while dragging just enough personality to the next project to make it completely his is amazing. Even if you don’t like country you have to marvel at his ability to do it all.
“Machine Gun Silhouette.” Enjoy.
