2012 will find many Hip-Hop spots awash in Christopher Wallace.  This year would have marked his 40th birthday.  It’s also the 15th anniversary of his death.  Biggie will be forever young and always the illest, but that’s a small consolation for being denied what could have been.  Would he still be on top today?  Who knows, but for a life permanently interrupted in the midst of ascension, its easy to believe he would be.  It eases the heartbreak.. a little.

Planet Ill will have a couple of contributions on the late great Frank White.  No recycling or simple bio material.  Its been done.  How about a fresh look at some old works and some new thoughts on Hip-Hop’s forever Crowned Prince starting with this Caribbean ode to Cali
