With Jeezy dropping an album, it’s easy to forget about Yo Gotti, a rapper in a similar with probably more skill and less exposure, but the streets know what’s up. Yo Gotti has built a legion of fans that vibe with his brand fo reality rap. He’s not one ot be left out in the cold and this time he’s got Ricky Rozay with him on “Harder.”
An interpolation of Waka Flocka’s “Hard In The Paint” pays as the undercurrent, adding that familarity of rhythm to get you rockign before you even hear the song. Of course the snare drums are there and the other whiny elements of trap music but it’s not obnoxious on this track. lex Luger would be proud.
Gotti and his raspy delivery are at home on the track, there are 24’s on the whip, dope on the stove and white being pushed as usual. Rick Ross is smooth and silky with his verse, kicking that numerolog shit (you’ll get it when you listen).
The track isn’t the greatest thing you’ll ever hear but it knocks in the whip and goes “Harder” than most of the songs you’ll hear this holiday season. Yo Gotti and Ross have strong chemistry and not just on the stove. Enjoy.
