Sometimes you wonder what it must have been like covering this music 20 years ago. I was a fan living in it, but to have been chronicling the ascent of those who would become icons back when they were fighting to hold an audiences attention and to see them evolve past that had to involve some emotional capital.Here at the Planet we do not suck dick and as such we get to feature a wider variety of acts. Gregory “Savant” Dagget came to us a couple years ago, trying to get some run on one of his tracks. Back then, as the little site that could, we were flattered that someone actually campaigned to be on here.. But not flattered enough not to tell him he needed work. :e didn’t pull a Saigon and bitch about how his album should have been rated higher. He listened. A couple years later he came back to us with his Crash Course Leak Series, with a country mile of improvement in his bars and far better songwriting. We caught up with him when he was in town and got his story.

Now he’s gone and made his first video that you see above for his track “Make Your Move,” from the aforementioned series. He ain’t trying to change the world and save the babies, nor is he trying fuck bitches and get money; this is a nice mid tempo cut built to showcase his personality. The cliches are there but it’s a fun video that doesn’t look like the people who made it got paid in gum.
