Daniel Gibson and Keyshia Cole Are Married!
Keyshia Cole tweeted to her followers, whom she calls “Diamonds”, that she was getting married to Daniel Gibson. They were married on Sunday, May 22, 2011 and flew off to their honeymoon in a helicopter. The couple tweeted from their accounts about the nuptials with special congratulations from their dear friend, Monica. Also, Daniel tweeted photos of their wedding and their honeymoon helicopter ride. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Gibson for their marriage!
Monica and Shannon Brown Celebrate 6 Months Of Marriage
During the Lakers flameout a couple weeks ago, backup shooting guard Shannon Brown took to Twitter to announce that he was not the one sticking it to teammate Pau Gasol’s girlfriend. Now we know why he was so intent on making sure those rumors didn’t fester.
Brown and boo Monica just celebrated their 6-month Anniversary (less than a year ANNIversary…go figure) and made an official announcement on to celebrate the mile(quarter mile?) stone. They were secretly married last November, in front of their family. Monica shared a photo, saying:
Plus, she recently announced at Long Beach Gay Pride that she has a new single coming out this summer with Lil Kim and Missy Elliot. (Didn’t Keyshia have one of those last year or so?)
Joakim Noah Kobied For Using Gay Slur!
Joakim Noah was fined $50,000 for calling a fan a “f***king faggot” during game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The TNT cameras caught Joakim in the act insulting the fan. Everyone is shocked that the man with the diverse background and worldwide view would call anyone a gay racial slur. Others wondered why he got fined only 50K when Kobe got hit for 100K. Joakim would not explain what the fan said to him but he apologized sincerely for not being professional due to frustration:
“With the comment to the fan, I just want to apologize about that,’’ he said. “I had just picked up my second foul. I was frustrated. He said something that was disrespectful towards me, and I lost my cool. People who know me know I’m an open-minded guy. I’m not here to hurt anybody’s feelings.’’
In his defense, his teammate, Taj Gibson explained to the press that the fan was overbearing and berating Noah throughout the whole game until Noah had snapped,
“He was really loud,’’ he said. “He was a big guy, too. He was intoxicated. I was surprised because he kept going and going. Normally a fan may say a couple of things and sit down. But he kept going at Joakim. And then it was just Joakim the whole time. Even when I was sitting on the bench with Joakim … he was still going.’’
How much disrespect can a player take from a fan before that player snaps? Is it fair to the player?
Ice-T’s Bentley Smacked By Lambo
Planet Ill had an agent in the field for the party for the release fo Coco’s new fashion line Licious. There wasn’t much going on inside, but outside Ice’s burgundy Bentley got the bang-up treatment from a dude driving a Lamborghini. Don’t know if it was rented or not but I wouldn’t want to be holding the bill for that.
