This song is offensive right? Well, not really. Plenty of chick-a-dees stand staunchly in their feminist proclamations by day while looking for King Fantastic’s Killer Reese One and Dirt Nasty at night because.. you guessed it.. they like to get choked. So drop the pretense that most likely will surround this release and enjoy it for what it is…ummm if you can.
It’s nasty. It’s misogynistic. And it’s nothing you would want your kids to listen to (even though they probably will anyway.) Killer deals primarily with the drugs. His habit outweighs it all, but he doesn’t seem to mind. This isn’t homage to just weed either. Xanax, liquor and cocaine fuel the late night black out sessions. Then there is Dirt Nasty. You already know.
His angle is shameless. There are lines in this song that will make you feel bad for laughing (but you will anyway.) If you show up after the booty call, he will make sure he does things to you that will alleviate his morning after respect. Your face is a canvas, your posterior a proving ground for flexibility exercises and he’ll throw you in a dump truck when he’s done and have your ass hauled away. But you knew that before you got there.
Troublemaker dropped a track that’s a bit sinister, a little sneaky. Slow drags of textured layers of synth and some simple thump. No need to outshine the lyrics, this trio wants you to hear what they have to say. Even if they get a face slap from nine out of ten, the one that says yes is the win.
