Here we go:
Philadelphia DJ, producer, label head and remixer King Britt has had a very eclectic music career for almost 20 years, working to consistently make dope music grooves of different genres though his own work and various artist collaborations. It’s only fitting to see him and his Saturn Never Sleeps collective put together a diverse collection of brand-new great grooves in honor of DJ Kool Herc.
The “We Love Kool Herc” compilation’s 18 diverse mid-to-high tempo tracks mix up of Dub Reggae, Jazz, Hip-Hop, House, R&B, Electronica and Spoken Word sounds to make a cohesive project for everyone to kick back, relax and enjoy. The influence of DJ Kool Herc’s legendary mix sets, sound system and vibe shines in this collection and shows that Hip-Hop music was never meant just to be 2 turntables and a mic, but whatever made the people have a good time with the singing and rhyming.
Feel free to donate directly towards DJ Kool Herc’s current & future medical expenses and to his family as well as to find more information via his official website, http://www.DJKoolHerc.com.
