Jim Jones is releasing CAPO on April 15th and I swear this is the first I’m hearing of this. Maybe it just slipped through the cracks over here, or maybe his team needs to be a little more aggressive with the promotions. Now that I know it exists, I’m looking forward to this album. We can use something strong on the mp3 player that day while we’re standing in the post office finishing up our tax forms.
Funk Master Flex made sure you knew he was responsible for premiering this, but if you can listen through the tags you get a taste of Jim Jones claiming supreme flyness. The track is relatively simple: a bassline and a chant, “Everybody Jones.” I don’t know if he has a new dance or if he’s suggesting you get fly like him, but outside of a few scratches and some ladies talking over the track, that’s about it.
Jim espouses the pros of the Jones lifestyle. His closet is crazy. His ride is crazy and your girl wants him because well… he’s fly and you’re not. His stunt game is unbeatable and you can’t keep up, so don’t try. Jim’s flow is what it is and hasn’t changed one bit, so you know what you are getting. The Tech N9ne growls are new however, and very amusing. I don’t quite understand the young lady talking about her shoes, but maybe I’m just out of the loop.
Anyway, instead of Wang Chunging; Jones, Jones and Jones some more. All the cool kids are doing it.
