Men have always had a tenuous relationship with their own emotions.  That is probably because people react negatively when they show any.  Yesterday, the Miami Heat’s head coach, Erik Spoelstra, told reporters, after their 4^th loss in a row, that some of his players were crying in the locker room. As expected, everyone had something bad to say about it.  These young men aren’t entitled to opening up the waterworks every once in a while?

I’m sure they are under a lot of pressure. The Miami Heat’s entire image is built around a guy who left his home state on the brink of ruin, a man who spends more time dodging the bullets his baby moma tosses at him in the media than he does on the court and a guy who looks a little like a boll weevil.  It’s not the awesome package that it appeared to be on paper. Plus,  there are tons of people wishing the worst on this squad.  I’m sure the Heat don’t wish to oblige.

Besides, it’s not like we haven’t seen a professional athlete cry before.  So while all of you sports fans get a chuckle out of Miami’s plight and the sniffles that it generates, realize your favorite player has probably cried before.  Lake Show fans, you especially have no room to talk.  The Lakers stay boo hoo’ing.  Anyway, I’ve put together a short list of my favorite grown ass millionaire sports figures sobbing for the cameras.  So kick back, enjoy and cut El Heat some slack.
