Indiesent Exposure : Elevate Your Mind With //orangenoise

By DJ Fusion

What’s good Planet Ill crew!

It’s time again for your weekly installment of Indiesent Exposure full of FREE quality music downloads and info about independent music artists of different genres who deserve serious credit for keeping things lively and original in the world of music.

Post by post, Indiesent Exposure is set to give your ears some respite from some of the daily audio wackness, boredom and/or iCoonery that bombards the masses through the mainstream radio and TV airwaves’ definitions of Hip-Hop, Rock, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Rock, Reggae, House, World Music and more.

If you like what you hear & download up in this section, PLEASE support (monetarily and otherwise) these artists as much as you can in the future – hit up their websites, purchase some product, go to their shows, etc.

This week’s Indiesent Exposure audio selection features some rollicking Rock Music sounds straight from the Middle East.

Whenever you have the chance, please let all of the talented Indiesent Exposure artists and the Planet Ill crew know what you think of the music in our comments section!

Pakistan doesn’t exactly get a lot of recognition for its music scene in general, much less for cranking out some really dope Psychedelic and Garage Rock groups. One of those melody making crews is //orangenoise, consisting of band members Talha Asim Wynne (guitar & vocals), Daniel Arthur Panjwaneey (bass & vocals), Danial Hyatt (percussion) and Faizan Riedinger (guitar).

The Karachi-based collective’s music leans heavily on Psychedelic, Garage Rock, Electronica and Shoegaze influences throughout their 5 track //veracious EP, creating a interesting set of sounds that’s both melodic and distorted. Each of the mid-to-high tempo songs bring elements from groups like The Doors, The Verve and Brian Jonestown Massacre (before they went off the rails – check the Dig! Documentary) with a fuzzy, yet sonically-warm blend of instrumentation and voices washing over the listeners’ ears.

From ambient, dreamy sounds to semi-thrash noise in over 25 minutes, any listener should definitely be able to happily zone out to the solid and interesting grooves on tap.The music of //orangenoise is probably as close as you can get to blissfully “elevating” without being on drugs. It’s high time more folks used some quality //orangenoise to elevate their current music stash of sound.
