The Planet, along with Chicago’s own Square-One of B-Side Radio, have joined forces to bring you the week in review in Hip-Hop and current events, along with the occasional special guest and some music to keep you moving through your day.

This week’s Ill Side Radio we talk about the top Hip-Hop albums of 2010. What made them special, where do they stand in the grand scheme of popular music overall? We talk about whether albums should actually be ranked and what are the determining factors in ranking.

We salute Raekwon for the role he played in many albums from 2010 and the overall return to the grimy this year as well. We take the blogger/music media to task for focusing on all the negatives and the bad albums instead of focusing on the good albums that were released and fresh new artists that are being overlooked.

We also shout out Vado and his evolution over the course of 2010. We go through some of the year’s best mixtapes as well as those that disappointed.

We discuss the Patriot’s world class ass whupping of the Chicago Bears. While they recovered to put an end to Brett Favre, I had to get on the Chicago homie.
