What was once an EP is now going to be a full-length album as the coming project from Roc Boys Jay-Z and Kanye West takes form. The duo have put down some radio dope with their recent collaborations and this latest, “That’s My Bitch” is another drop in the bucket that won’t buy a new Benz, but will get a bit of mileage out of what they are riding with now.
Judging from the inequality in verse count I would bet this track is more likely a castoff from Ye’s album than fodder for Watch The Throne. Q-Tip continues his resurgence behind the boards, but this track isn’t as crisp as his normal production. It has an unmastered muddiness to it that isn’t normally the Abstract’s signature. What it does have in its favor are the bouncy drums that bring a rumble to the construction.
Kanye is typical Mr. West, flaunting the fast life and the chicks attached to it with accompanying arrogance. Lucky for him his current output is so high that typical is presently dope for him. Jigga is also very average on this track as he delivers his ode to baby Bey. This verse will be pushed from your consciousness by one of his innumerable more memorable ones.
This song could have been better when you look at the legendary output of its three principals but songs like this are limited by their nature. Get your boo love on and scream “That’s My Bitch.” Enjoy.
