It’s not easy being a femcee. It’s hard enough when you’re using your ass to see, because there are pretty girls around every turn and people willing to write for them. It’s even harder when you actually want to…rap. Nina B has been in this game for years, and while she’s not quite an animal she’s got quite a growl.  On a female run label with a female dominant team, Nina attempts to straddle the line between between being lyrical and agressive but not trying to be a dude on the mic, or showing her ass for that matter.

Planet Ill sat down with her recently at the end of Women’s History Month to talk about being a woman in this industry, writing for other people (You won’t believe Who’s Dropping An Album), conveying pain through music, and her general life as a femcee.
