Its a damn shame that the brutha Guru had to pass for him and Gangstarr to get all this attention. Attention that should have been given to them while they were doing work. GangStarr to me is the best group of all time. Yeah u can get into semantics, they werent really a group, whatever they were, they were the best. I play GangStarr music ALL D TIME. I make my own best of cds and hand them out to all that I think would benefit from them. Its a sad day for all of us in Hip Hop, real Hip Hop. I appreciate your article as I have appreciated all the articles coming out recently, and just for the record to me it was always a battle between Step in the Arena and Daily Operation. Daily OPeration to me is Thee album that made me a stan of GangStarr..this is when albums were really albums, Back when tribe and de la and alsmost every other crew mad Albums…storylines, cool interludes, etc. GURIZZY will be missed.
