Planet Ill Week In Review:Madlib, Ruben Studdard Returns, Erykah And Weezy Jump, B.o.B Rains (Yes Rains)

By Odeisel

Grammy coverage pushed us back a couple days but Sick Sundays moves on this week as usual.  I’ll give you the lowdown on the week that was here at the Planet and then hit you with some music for the rest of your day.

The New Year is looking good on us as we push forward into February. The Rowdy One set us off with a look at the week in sport on Out of Bounds. Shelz delivered a mean Classic Clash pitting the Marshall Mathers LP against the Slim Shady LP.

We turned up the heat on the internet with a thrilling 3 part interview by IPOPPEDOFF with Prodigy where he goes through the history of beef with Nas and Jay-Z and recounts the murder of E Moneybags. We got our fashion coverage in full gear with the Supima Cotton Fashion Show. Look out for more fashion coverage in the year. We took a look at Redman’s new single “Oh My!” the lead in for his new album.  You already know who’s going to get that review first.

Fawn Renee kept the pressure on with her review of Corinne Bailey Rae’s new album The Sea. A Negro With A Keyboard spotted the flaw in Kanye’s Workout Plan. We took a ride through Miami with Billy Corben and managed to shed light on the Cocaine Cowboys and a cold case Miami mass murder over 20 years old!

DJ Fusion hit us with her usual Fusebox Radio broadcast and we beat the street with the first review of Sade’s Soldier of Love album courtesy of shelz. From there we put the foot on the pedal with a review of DJ Chong Wizard’s Eclectic Relaxation tribute to Tribe. Indiesent Exposure was once again in full effect like clockwork as DJ Fusion got you hip to new flavor.

Malice Intended reviewed Marvel’s latest animation project Planet Hulk, shelz did a special Grammy Edition of the Planet Ill Breakdown  and the family got together and predicted who would win a few of the awards. In full effect like a stimulus check. The Rowdy One stepped up and delivered the coup de grace with his Superbowl preview.
