What’s up Planet Ill readers and supporters during this New Year week of 2010 – hope the week’s been going well so far!
After weeks of winter making hard out there for my current DC Metro home arena with snow & chipping through Raekwon-ian Glaciers of Ice, it’s time for another session of Indiesent Exposure to wash away the 1000 remixes of “Silent Night”, and your New Year’s hangover.
This is the section where on Planet Ill, folks drop the weekly writeup and music downloads of various quality independent music artists who deserve more exposure, props and credit for keeping their various genres alive & non-cookie cutter status.
Pretty much every music genre gets covered in this section at one time or another – Hip-Hop, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Rock, Reggae, House, etc. – to keep the audio goodies a bit on the diverse & lively side.
Hopefully post by post here on Planet Ill, this section will give your ears some temporary respite from some of the audio wackness, boredom and/or iCoonery that bombards the masses each day via the mainstream radio and TV airwaves.
If you like what you hear in this section (some of which will hopefully be new to folks), PLEASE support these artists as much as you can in the future – hit up their websites, purchase some product, go to their shows, etc., especially since at the end of the day, music artists needs to eat like everyone else for putting in their work somewhere down the line.
This week, Indiesent Exposure has two dope and creative mixes that have Electronica, Rock & Hip-Hop grooves that are a little bit off the beaten path. Check out everything below from these talented artists and let us over here Planet Ill know what you think when you get the chance.
