Occasionally here at Planet Ill, we open our doors to other sources when we think that there is something of merit that our viewers should be exposed to.  This is one such instance.  The legendary Devastating Mic Controller DMC sat down with Spin recently to drop some knowledge and experience regarding the old school and it’s inherent mentality.

DMC has a new album coming but the bulk of the interview focuses on the advancement of Hip-Hop and it’s opportunity to surpass what was done, rather than return to what was already done.  It’s very interesting to hear DMC talk about bringing out new things and about the current state of the music.  His commentary echoes many of the feelings that we as citizens growing up in Hip-Hop express to each other.  Enough from us more from Darryl Mac.
