I have to listen to a ton of albums just by the nature of the business. But aside from albums i have to review, the albums i listen to regularly are on my phone. Rich Forever is still on there and it never left. I really think that mixtape is the greatest Trap Album ever. Many people dismiss that lane because most of the people in it can't rap. Rick Ross, whatever you feel about him, can certainly rap. His ear for beats is awesome.
Another album on there is Thurzday from UNI's album LA Riot. It's th ebest rap album i've heard in over a decade, and the fact that it has social resonance make sthe record evne more astounding. i recommend this album to anyone who thinks that HIP-Hop is nothign but frivolity and hoes and silly shit. thematically it's the antithesis of Rich Forever but the quality is up there. I've been tryign to find the flaw in LA Riot for over a year. I failed. That makes me smile. Peace
