    Wonder Woman Has Been Cast!!

This just in from Warner Bros…

Adrianne Palicki (“Friday Night Lights,” “Red Dawn”) will star in the title role of “Wonder Woman,” a new series pilot from David E. Kelley (“Boston Legal,” “Ally McBeal,” NBC’s “Harry’s Law”).

The series pilot is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman – a.k.a. Diana Prince – is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life. Kelley and Bill D’Elia (“Boston Legal,” “The Practice”) are the executive producers. The pilot was written by Kelley and will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner (NBC’s “The Event”). “Wonder Woman” is from David E. Kelley Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

Palicki, who appeared as Tyra Collette in NBC’s acclaimed “Friday Night Lights,” will star in the upcoming feature-film remake of “Red Dawn.” She also starred in the horror film “Breaking the Girl” and in the recent series “Lone Star.”

    More to come on this…

More details emerge on The Wolverine

With his latest, Black Swan, poised to claim as many as five Academy Awards (including Best Picture and Best Director), Darren Aronofsky is gearing up to enter the world of Marvel Comics with The Wolverine. While the film is set to star Hugh Jackman, reprising his role as the adamantium-laced mutant, Aronofsky reiterates to PopcornBiz that the film isn't planned as a follow-up to previous entries in the X-franchise.

"It's not a sequel," Aronofsky said, "...I just love working with Hugh Jackman and I think there's something to be done in that world that hasn't been done yet. I'm also excited to do something that everyone wants to make, as opposed to being the only person that wants to make the film at the beginning.”

While Aronofsky's comment may sound pretty definitive, it's still open to debate exactly what he means by "not a sequel." It could be something as literal as his film taking place prior to Gavin Hood's X-Men Origins: Wolverine or something more amibigious as was the case between Ang Lee's Hulk and Louis Leterrier's The Incredible Hulk.

No matter what, though, the film is expected to enter production soon with an unspecfied release planned, likely for sometime in 2012.

First Pic Of Cavill w/Superman \S/

New Superman Henry Cavill On The Cover Of EW

No, he's not donning the iconic red n blue duds, but WB have released a picture of Cavill sporting the "S" on his t-shirt via the cover of Entertainment Weekly. The actor also speaks about being cast as The Man Of Steel..

The film hasn't begun production yet, but perhaps as a response to the rumors that the movie is having script problems, Warner Bros have decided to issue a pic of Henry Cavill in his Superman persona for the new cover of Entertainment Weekly..

The mag also features some exclusive info and interviews with Cavill and Director Zack Snyder. Here is an excerpt..

Cavill’s audition, which included shooting a screen test wearing a replica of Christopher Reeve’s once impressive, now dated Superman suit. “If you can put on that suit and pull it off,” says Snyder, ‘that’s an awesome achievement.” Cavill was feeling less than super in the moment, at least about his ability to fill out the costume: He had just finished shooting a film with Bruce Willis called The Cold Light Of Day, and the part required to him to shed the impressive abs of steel and muscle tone he had put on for the movie he made right before that, the forthcoming mythic fantasy Immortals. As an assistant helped to him put on the Super-suit, Cavill recalls: “All I could think was: Oh, god. They’re going to look at me and go ‘He’s not Superman. Not a chance.’ The actor inside me was going: You’re not ready! You’re not ready!” Snyder saw something — or rather someone — different. “He walked out, and no one laughed,” says the director. “Other actors put that suit on, and it’s a joke, even if they’re great actors. Henry put it on, and he exuded this kind of crazy-calm confidence that just made me go ‘Wow.’ Okay: This was Superman.’”

the color, the material, the trunks going way to high, and the S/color...and the boots

From a design standpoint that's how the costume SHOULD look though. The trunks are supposed to be that high, otherwise it looks like that bullshit Routh was wearing.

I already said the color is a bit off and obviously they're going to use newer material.
