Regarding Winter's Bone, I can see where you're coming from but I thought it worked better for the story that they didn't show anything of it, since it was a done deal and flashbacks would break with the rest of the movie's narrative (as minimalistic and realistic as possible).

127 Hours, it was alright, typical survival movie with its inescapable 'clichés' like starving to death, conserving food/water, hallucinate, forget or drop the stuff you need, all that. Boyle's directing and Franco's acting, no matter how good, can't fix that vital problem of "seen it before".

Faster. It was basically for The Rock what A Man Apart was for Vin Diesel, meaning a mediocre revenge flick that just never really 'pops'.

The Sunset Limited
WOW! Now this is a movie. Two men, one room, a conversation of faith versus nihilism. Sam Jackson plays a man who has lived a harsh and crime filled life who is now a man of faith. Tommy Lee Jones plays a professor who came from a good background who believes in nothing and is convinced the only solace he can possibly find in this bleak world devoid of meaning is death. The two go back and forth for 90 minutes. The film will captivate you with the acting and its content will have you thinking. They both deserve Emmys for this. Great flick.

Due Date
Thought it was alright, nothing special. Best parts was the confrontation with Danny McBride's character and the border guards.

Rewatched Me & Orson Welles, it was better than I remembered. Christian McKay remains an absolutely brilliant Orson Welles, one of the most underrated performances in years. I give the movie a lot of flack for focusing on a far less interesting storyline, but I also forgot how strong Richard Linklater's direction was in places.

Unknown with Liam Neeson...movie was really, really good. I was really tripping when the explaination in the movie was revealed...my wife sat their for the last minutes in total disbelief.

Unknown
Loved the whole mysterious vibe of it. The ending was kinda eh, like I did not see it coming, but it was a little too much out of left field. But still good, Neeson is the man.

Drive Angy. Lots of fun. Cage dives into B-movie acting like only he can and the always intriguing William Fichtner plays his part with the kind of serious but playful grandeur like only he can. I don't think I'll ever understand how a flawless professional like him doesn't get more parts. Anyway, the movie got car chases, explosions, godkiller guns, gratuitous gore/nudity and most importantly great humor. But even more important than the 'most importantly' is that the female lead isn't a weak damsel in distress. She's a kick-ass bitch without making the mistake of pushing her coolness to show how cool she is. She's a believable character and it doesn't hurt that she's played by Amber Heard, who manages to balance being smoking hot very well with being a believable cool chick. Megan Fox should take notes. Also, while the movie uses the godawful "something flies out of the screen" 3D gimmick too much, the 3D overall is excellent.

Saw UNKNOWN earlier today.
Like most I agree that it was very good (when did Nelson become a go to action star).
I did see the end coming though, partially cause everyone mentioned the twist.
