Oh, he asked Maya out for a hot dog. My bad. An amazing hot dog. At a place called Pink's. Hot dog. Pink. Oh my. Anyways, it reminded me of that movie Kids where the dumbass kid (I know I'm narrowing it down here but he seemed the dumbest) told the girl something like "I'll buy you corn dogs girlie."

I'm a fan, yah. But i'm not touching another Bendis book. I'm just... not.

Do they still have The Needle and Tatterdemalion? The Brothers Grimm? I know Gypsy Moth joined the T-Bolts back when Nicieza and Bagley wre doing the damn thing.
I learn something new every day. Here's the pic of them. I wouldn't be able to identify them.

    yep. that's them.

From the left: Misfit, The Needle, Dansen Macabre, Tatterdemalion, Digger and Tick-Tock.

The Brothers Grimm (my favorites aside from The Needle) are missing. Hangman's dead, I think.

They were like my favorite villain group when I was growing up. lol I was a HUGE West Coast Avengers mark, and they were in it from time to time.

damn, west coast Marvel, now that I think about it, had all of the weird/freaky/scary shit going on there.

The Tatterdemalion wears specially designed gloves coated with a solvent which dissolves paper and fabrics, which allows him to destroy currency. He wears several layers of clothing, coated with a special greasy chemical that makes him slippery and difficult to hold on to; underneath his clothes is a layer of Kevlar. His cloak contains chloroform gas capsules, so that when thrown over a victim it renders the victim unconscious. He wears a long scarf, which is tipped with lead weights, as a weapon. His equipment was supplied by the Committee. Due to his lack of proper hygiene habits, the Tatterdemlion emits a harsh offensive odor at all times. He is an expert tap dancer, and a highly proficient bottle-cap collector. The Tatterdemalion is mentally disturbed.

Tatterdemalion's body was temporarily supernaturally augmented by Satannish, enhancing his strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes to peak human levels. Satannish enhanced his greasy coating to make him impossible to hold, enhanced his solvent to be strong enough to pain the normally invulnerable Wonder Man, and enhanced his scarf to be strong enough to be used to choke Wonder Man.
rofl look at that powerset, man! how awesome is that!?

I may have just enjoyed it because it was easily available. lol

but I enjoyed the whole run up to maybe.... the point right before Mockingbird was killed. That was somewhere in the #70's. I think. Or right after Darkhawk joined.

It had great moments, IMO. In hindsight, I can almost look at most of it as a precursor to Wanda losing her shit (and going evil the first time). You should look up the scene where she's molesting Wonder Man in front of the whole team. lol Wondy: "no. No! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

It had Wonderman being a self doubting spaz, and set up his solo series (which I also enjoyed).

US Agent and Hawkeye hating each other's guts,

    Fights with Ultron,

Ben Grimm being on the team, Moon Knight too.

Hank Pym being a competent superhero for a while and having a cool powerset. He was called.... "Dr. Pym". lol Instead of growing and shrinking himself, he carried around all kinds of weaponry that he kept miniaturized and did science to stuff.

Time Travel, Mockingbird killing Phantom Rider- oh, I'm sorry. letting him die. lol

Now that I think about it, a hell of a lot of stories that are being used now in Avengers books and cartoons are just rehashed West Coast Avengers stories.

Like them forming because of a fight with Graviton, Thing and Moon Knight joining, Wanda being Evil....

I remember wanting that Wonder Man series and it not getting on the shelves here. I had to order my shit from East Coast Comics when I got big into it - remember their ads?. I think I'm gonna check it out just for US Agent.
