Simon West is the director of Con Air and The Expendables 2 so I actually have some hope this will be crazy in a good way ("Put the bunny back in the box").
I had to double check and make sure that it wasn't an Asylum release lmao.
Con Air was a fluke the rest of his filmography is filled with hot garbage. He's actually my main concern about Expendables 2; I'm keeping an open mind but one of the reasons I'm not that hype for it is because it's Simon West directing. He's like a lesser Michael Bay which is like being a turd nugget next to a giant pile of shit. Con Air is the one reason I'll always remain a Simon West believer, no matter how bad all his other crap is. Crazy non-sensical action is pretty much the only thing he ever got right on film, and I have no doubt that as long as he keeps doing just that he has great potential.
