Finally got around to listening to the two singles. I like them both. Sounds like jack is getting along just fine without Meg. This shoots his solo album near the top of my year's most anticipated list.
Album has dropped btw and it's definitely good. Of course he would get along fine without Meg. She's a just above average drummer that got lifted up entirely by her brother's musical direction. Anyway, if you're going to check it out I suggest picking up Alabama Shakes' Boys & Girls album along the way. They're a very White Stripes inspired band (but in a good way).
I've listened to the album about 5 or 6 times now. Its classic Jack White. A little slower and more folkish than his White Stripes material, but still reminiscent of it. No new ground is broken, but I didn't really expect there to be. A great listen all the way through.
