Call me crazy but I actually laughed during this trailer when he talked to the car thief. I can't recall that ever happening with the Raimi movies and I enjoyed his first 2 well enough. That and the way they shot the money shots this time (SPIDER-MAN LOOKS REAL AND NOT CGI!!!) ahem.

I find that pretty interesting. Going as practical as possible on a Spider-Man movie is the best franchise save ever. I'm just mad cause Marvel themselves would've done it even better than Sony. But yes the unmasking stuff has to fucking stop already. Jesus.

i completely agree about the unmasking shit, like im PREEEEEEEEETTY sure Garfield gets enough face time as peter i dont understand the need to 'show he's behind th emask'

As someone who was looking forward to this it saddens me to say that those clips look awful

They overdid it greatly in the "web him up" scene. Almost like they're overcompensating for the lack of snark in the Raimi movies.

I still have mixed feelings about this film.

One one hand they seem to have gotten a lot of things right that Raimi didn't (Web shooter, Spidey being hated, quips), but the tone seems REALLY off and I just can't get over how fucked up the Lizard looks.

He looks like a movie version of the original Steve Ditko design for The Lizard. I have no problem with that except I would've given him a lab coat.

The Steve Ditko version looks fucked up too, but even that looked more Lizard like that the shit they have in this film. When I think of the Lizard I always think of how he was draw by John Romita.
