half the critics are saying that its better than DK, other half say its not. very few, if any, are saying that its a bad movie. I wont be disappointed, and fuck it, it gets rebooted in a few years so....

People are mixed because Bane is underused and because of the ending which actually brings things back full circle. I'm just glad that this Batman story is finally done and we can move the fuck on to more exciting movies hopefully.
Hub recreates Dark Knight Rise trailer for Batman cartoon marathon
Coinciding with the Friday premiere of The Dark Knight Rises, the cable channel The Hub is airing a 10-episode marathon of Batman: The Animated Series, the beloved early-1990s cartoon that’s held up by a generation of fans as the gold standard for animated adaptations of comic books.
To promote the event, The Hub has created a teaser that recreates the trailer for the final installment of director Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy using clips from the show and the original voice cast. You can watch it below.
The marathon, dubbed “Batman: The Animated Series Rises” kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT on The Hub.

the ppl that dont like it is cuz it doesnt "surpass" TDK also that the story isnt good enough, also Bane isnt as good as the Joker but everything is good
It's bullshit to compare Bane to the Joker. They're presented as two entirely different types of characters. The movie completed things nicely and brought it full-circle, even if the end is a little corny lol.
The Dark Knight Rises? More like The Dark Knight Falters, amiright? All jokes aside, this is my least favorite of Nolan's trilogy and I'd rate it about a 3/5. Its biggest problem is that it suffers from the same problems TDK had (some sloppy scripting/plotting, heavy exposition, relying on conveniences and ignoring gaping holes) without offering the constant barrage of classic/memorable scenes to make up for it. I mean, the opening scene with Bane's introduction is really just a poor man's imitation of the Joker bank robbery in TDK, without any of the suspense or surprises, but twice the half-assed acting from Aidan Gillen who was apparently only hired to make the comparisons even more obvious as this scene's stand-in for William Fichtner.
Also, none of the action scenes stood out to me. When Batman and Bane fight, you might as well have been watching an average MMA fight with the two fighters playing dress-up. There's no sense of epicness going. Same goes for the chase scenes which lack all the fun and excitement that they had in TDK, mostly because it feels none of the vehicles are ever going faster than 40 MPH at any given time. Making the wheels on the Batcycle spin horizontally for no reason whatsoever (I still don't know in what world that's supposed to help maintain balance) doesn't make that slow-moving shit any more special either.
Speaking of the action scenes, the shadow punching is real. It's less noticeable since it's a lot faster and some of the examples we've seen in gif-form weren't in the final movie but it's still noticeable if you're aware of it. And I don't care what any of you say, Bane's voice sucked. Half the time it sounds like a voice-over delivered through a fucking can. When Bane is giving that big speech in front of Blackgate it not once sounded like he was speaking but that they just put recorded dialog over Tom Hardy looking around. The sound mixing flat-out sucks. Anne Hathaway did a decent job btw, but I'm laughing my ass off at people saying she killed it. She was decent, nothing more. At least she didn't suck as bad as most of the supporting cast. I already mentioned Gillen but half the supporting cast in the movie (smirky cops, cliché politicians, evil CEO's) ham it up so bad that you just can't wait for them to be gone.
For the sake of people not having seen it yet I won't go too much into detail about the plot, but it lacks the pace and clarity of TDK, trying too hard at every corner and just falling flat on its face. If you've seen the movie, you can check the spoilers below for some examples:
Spoiler for {option}:
That's some of the shit that bothered me. There's more (of course) but I think this gives off a general idea of the stuff wrong here.
Oh yeah, Batman was slipping as a motherfucker because motherfuckers were killed on his watch all the time. Hell, if you consider that truck crash he killed two more people himself, but apparently in the Nolan universe causing people to die isn't the same thing as killing them, lol.
yo DOOM.............i need that Hanz Zimmer Prescription Medicine in audio form.
