Avengers Academy. Veil attempts to bring Janet van Dyne back but it turned out the blank body form Hank discovered wasn't Janet but actually Carina, wife of Korvac (the purple guy). Korvac returns for her and starts kicking ass and since they're in the Infinite Mansion Hank got the Avengers in the house to fight him.

I hadn't really planned to post any of the interior pages of the Artist's Edition version of Thor. Thought I'd wait for IDW to put out the book.

However, Chris Ryall has now posted a couple of the pages on his blog, and since Chris is the chief cook and bottle washer at IDW (formally referred to as the publisher and editor-in-chief I believe), I thought it would be okay to post these two pages here. <g>

Judging from the white-out on Thor's hair, I redid it totally from its first version on this drawing. Which I vaguely remember doing but have no idea how it looked originally.

The splash page from the first of three issues telling the story of Thor's journey to Hel.

For reasons I was never completely clear about, printers (or somebody) would often cut the original art, clipping corners and edges with abandon. I heard it had something to do with ganging pages up to photograph them for printing, but I've no idea if that's true or how it worked.

The actual size of the art here is a little smaller than 10 x 15. As a splash, the page appeared with an indicia (all the legal stuff) in fine print below the credits. So the art was sized for that inclusion. The indicia was a photostat, pasted into position with rubber cement. I usually removed them once the artwork was returned to me.

It's the newest fake Cap shown recently in Captain America, when Steve was reflecting on putting back on the costume because there's a need for a Captain America. Dude basically got away after having made realise if Steve doesn't put on the costume, someone else will. We can assume this guy got his SS serum from the blood sample Machinesmith obtained for Dr Erskine's son in the Steve Rogers: Super Soldier mini series.
