A couple of weeks ago, my S/O sends me this box in the mail. In that box was some mood stabilizing drugs (don't ask), a lot of unopened Mentos (the Freshmaker™), and a copy of Action Comics #876. You know, the one with Luthor and The Secret Six duking it out with Vandal Savage? What? Too nerdy for you? anyway...

she folded the comic up to put it in the box and thus ruined the value of said comic to a collector, but still... it was the mere fact that she bought it just because she knows I read comics. She doesn't read comics. I don't think she's ever read a comic in her life. But she went and bought me one anyway. AND it happened to be a copy of my favorite book of the moment. Not to mention that it's actually the first PHYSICAL copy of a comic I've had in like... 6 years?

I don't even care that I read it 2 months ago because she bought it off a news stand. All of those small things in my mind had me grinning like a kid at christmas when I pulled it out the box. I think I've read through that issue like 50 times. I keep it next to the toilet. lol
