Quite often you fall in love with a character only to have the character written off or their book abruptly canceled. This thread is a place lament over some of our favorite characters who are M.I.A. and hopefully get updates on their most recent experiences.

This thread was inspired by favorite X book of the last decade New X-Men. For me it was really a back to basic book where the focus was on young mutants trying dealing with their powers and becoming a team/family. These key themes are at the core of the X-Men mythos but seem to be overlooked with the bunch of books currently being produced. My favorite characters were Prodigy & Elixir because they had some of the most creative & potentially powerful abilities of the bunch. Unfortunately most of the team was killed off or depowered. So where are they now?

I know P has made a few random appearances usually in background but where is he now? Based on the last time he was promiently featured he could still be a major contributor to the X-Men.

I think Elixir’s last appearance was during the Hope saga where he was conveniently written off, but has been heard of since?

I also enjoyed the Avengers: The Initiative. During its run it was by far the best Avengers book until Slott’s run on Mighty but of course a lot of the newer characters fell off the map?

Did they ever address Slapstick almost beating Gaunlet to death?

Wasn’t hinted that Crusader could be resurrected?

Co-sign on Elixir while adding:

The Runaways - haven't heard from them since that sub-par 3rd vol.,

and Wraith from DnA's Annihilation: Conquest - he completely disappeared,

Damn I completely digit about Wraith. He completely fell off the map which makes no sense DNA had so many cosmic events of late.

And Damn I miss the Runaways. Their 1st run was truly special. The last I heard remotely about them was a scientist in Secret Avengers making gaunlets for Mr Negative and saying the design was inspired by some kid in LA.

Some Runaways will join Avengers Academy.

Prodigy is in Schism 3.

Youth In Revolt: Fear Itself is showcasing the Avengers Initiative characters.

Elixir was still in a coma because he kept switching between dark and gold forms uncontrollably after facing Wither, last I checked.

The rest of the NW never stopped to actually listen to Slapstick's confession so he didn't get found out.

Yes, he had a ring with a fragment of a cosmic cube on it and his body disappeared, so it's not confirmed Crusader is actually dead.

Justice League Elite.

Not that it will matter anymore considering the reboot.

Darwin ever since he left X-Factor after evolving the touch of death itself.

Also, probably all of the Secret Warriors unless Bendis keeps his word.

What's sad is this thread really points out a lot of issues with Marvel so much as it does DC. Look at some of the great storylines MArvel has come up with only to totally abandon them later. A whole arc or series can be written on "The World" but it's only a subject in the X-Books. With all the knowledge that Reed Richards or any of the uber big heads in Marvel have nobody knows about The World? I always look at the X-Men and the cast of villians that pop up but disappear afterwards. Look at the Children of the Vault. These kids mopped the fucking floor with the X-Men only to lose at the end (Like I predicted back in the IC Days) and then pop up looking washed up in a later X-Men book. That was a group of villians that could've been written for a while in the books and caused so much damage... What happened to The Sisterhood? And did they really wipe out all of the Neo?

speaking of Namorita where is Darkhawk.
If it werent for Hickman the Inhumans would still be MIA.

part of this is a function of having too many books and things getting lost in the sauce.
